7:00pm Tuesday 3rd January 2012
WINDERMERE company Fidget Design is among the winning entrants in the inaugural UK Hotel Awards 2011 for its work on a luxury Lake District hotel.
The company has been invited to a high profile gala presentation dinner at the newly refurbished Savoy Hotel in London this month.
Owner Alison Tordoff will then discover whether the company has won either a five-star or highly commended award in the category of Best Hotel Interior for its work at the Cedar Manor Hotel, Windermere.
The Cedar Manor is a member of Cumbria Tourism and won funding from the destination management organisation to help in development of its Coach House Suite.
Ian Stephens, managing director of Cumbria Tourism, said: “It’s great that Fidget has been recognised for its innovative approach to hotel design. It has made a great contribution to a number of our premier hotels and deserves an award for its work.
