KENDAL Amateur Operatic Society has announced its big November production - Whistle Down the Wind Based on the original novel by Mary Hayley Bell, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hugely popular show premiered in 1998 and follows the fortunes of a fugitive caught between the prejudice of adults and the innocence of the young. Entertaining and colourful with an emotive score combining hauntingly beautiful love songs and explosive rock music with lyrics by acclaimed songwriter Jim Steinman, it promises to be a great way for KAOS to celebrate its 100th birthday.
