Town boss Ashcroft gets national exposure

Kendal Town boss Lee Ashcroft may have hung up his boots a few seasons ago but the former Preston North End and West Bromich Albion striker was seen gracing Sky Sports at the weekend.
Ashcroft appeared on Soccer AM on Saturday morning for his showboating antics at the Lancashire FA Trophy semi-final against Radcliffe Borough in Leyland.
In the clip, sent in by club goalkeeping coach James Nicholls, Ashcroft shows great ball control with several kick ups as the ball sails out of play.
He said: “I had just had a call to say the Chasetown game was off and sat down to watch Soccer AM with my son.
“The next thing I knew I was on the box. It was quite a surprise but James has been an absolute nightmare since we started filming matches.
“It is national exposure for the club but I wish we had never started having games videod now.”
