North Lancashire Football League: Rangers progress in cup

CARNFORTH Rangers edged past Marsh United to reach the third round of the 848-848 Taxis Sam Price Memorial Cup.
A dour game burst to life in the 70th minute when Mark Plevey put Rangers ahead from the penalty spot.
The lead was short lived though as Scott Tremble pulled United level.
The game came to life in the final five minutes with three quick goals but Rangers progressed thanks to goals from Vernon Middleton and Daniel Syson.
Chris McMenamin pulled a goal back for United but they went down 3-2.
In the Premier Division Highgrove were 6-2 winners at Swarthmoor SC, while Bowerham won 2-1 on the road at Caton United.
Ingleton moved out of the relegation places with a 1-0 win at Morecambe Royals.
Ben Jackson scored the winner as Ingleton climbed four places to sit tenth.
A Joel Drinkall brace helped Cartmel and District into the third round of the Black Dragon Senior as they defeated Trimpell 4-2.
Kirkby Lonsdaleās promotion hopes took a hit in Division One as they lost 3-1 at Freehold FC.
